Next in our series on the Aspirational City Visit to the Lehigh Valley in the Pennsylvania is a quick highlight reel of some of the impressive things the group saw on their visit in downtown Allentown. This is the area where Hammes Company partnered to plan the development. We learned so much in this area, but here are a few of the highlights:

ArtsWalk: The pedestrian only ArtsWalk stretched through alleys in downtown Allentown offering a lively environment with housing, parks, artwork, shops and restaurants.

Arena/Hockey: The mixed-use PPL Center, shown here, rocked a Bon Jovi concert until midnight and was holding hockey practice on the ice in the same spot by 8AM the following morning.
Strata Downtown Living: This company is building luxury housing in downtown Allentown – and they can’t build fast enough to meet the demand.
Lehigh Valley Health Network is the largest lessee in the PPL Center hosting office space for 500+ employees, a community fitness center, physical therapy, and more.

Two City Center is a fully-leased mixed-use mid-rise 11-story Class A office/retail building including restaurants, retail and BB&T’s regional headquarters.
