Nothing more than a vision, and I have no idea how it could be made to happen. Finding a way to consolidate the various social service & mental health agencies into a consolidated "community" would be good for the agencies & their customers.

The city of Anchorage and its major hospital has an associated facility to temporarily house family members of newly admitted acutely ill patients. Alaska, like Montana, is large in size and patients' families arrive without places close to the hospital for their families. It was a great help when one of my daughters was admitted to the Intensive Care Ward and I arrived in the evening.

Solve railroad track problem.

Focus on business development.

Promote and encourage development of State Parks in Montana. Montanan's love the outdoors but we don't spend enough money and attention on our great State Parks.

Billings does a great job of offering family friendly events and happening, but there are not many things in town to do for adults in their 20s. Most of the city hosted events target young kids and their parents, and as a city with two colleges I would like to see Billings cater to that population as well.

Billings should have more streets that are like Shiloh Road and Zimmerman Drive. Those streets are amazing. When people visit us in Billings, we make sure to drive them down those two streets. Everyone always says "there is nothing like this in Missoula or Bozeman or Great Falls". Those two streets are impressive and demonstrate that Billings is the place to be.

It is hard to attract young professionals to Billings and it is hard to keep them here. The things that help are the new baseball park, the new library, the Bair Theater, and the community support for our schools. What will help even more are: (1) more trails; (2) improved parks and more parks, especially smaller pocket parks; (3) other cultural centers like the YAM, the Bair, and BSO; (4) improved schools; and (5) maintaining a positive attitude that in Billings we can get it done.

Continue to develop trails and quality of life amenities, support strong schools and develop the work force including the trade industries. We have time to make the Rims our showpiece.

Billings needs a better sign code. The sign clutter on streets like Grand Avenue is terrible. The signs are too small and are nearly on top of each other. It is so nice to drive Shiloh Road with much better signs. Shiloh should be an example for the rest of Billings. What we did on Shiloh should apply to the rest of the City. The overlay zoning on Shiloh is a great success. We should adopt that code and apply it city-wide.
