Expand city busses for the areas that don’t have school busses. Particularly in the heights where kids have to walk a mile and a half one way.

Work to get more airlines to fly into Billings.

Billings needs to catch up on the digital age. I feel we are a few years behind big cities when it comes to trends on the internet. For example: yelp.com, groupon, livingsocial, and companies that have their own websites.

work on work force development. City College could be a focal point. SD 2 should more actively promote the Career Center and tie it to the degrees offered at City College.

Before school programs similar to the many after school care programs for kids. Some sort of safe environment so that parents can drop them off before having to go to work and not worry about them walking to school.

Work to build candidated for boards, commissions and elected offices.

Work to get SD 2 to recognize the need to encourage students to use the Career Center.

Work to connect businesses and their needs to City College. Better offerings tied to needs of the region should result in good job placement and a rising respect for City College.

We need more large companies to come into town. Yes the unemployment rate is low, but there are too many minimum wage type jobs and not enough high end jobs in this town. If we want more people to move to the area, we need to entice them with more than minimum wage jobs.

Think about how the community looks and feels to a newcomer. Invest more in the arts organizations and invest more in city clean-up and beautification (park maintenance!). Think about how it all coordinates. Think about the approaches to town (currently some of the ugliest in the state).
